Karate is the debut extended play by English singer Anne-Marie. It was released on 10 July 2015 via Major Tom's and Asylum Records.[1] The EP, as well as its singles, failed to make an impact on record charts,[2] although Anne-Marie would later achieve success with her debut album Speak Your Mind (2018) and its singles.
Composition
Karate is an R&B extended play that incorporates musical elements of pop, electronic music, electro-grime and soul.[3][4][5]
Singles
"Karate", the EP's title track,[6] was released as the lead single on 13 May 2015.[7]
"Gemini" was released as the EP's second single on 24 June 2015.[8]
Critical reception
Pierre Bayet of High Clouds called the EP "bright".[9]
