Karbelt Speed & Custom
Karbelt Speed & Custom, Inc. is a Canadian automotive parts retailer, located in Toronto, Ontario. It is Canada's first speed shop. [1]

Karbelt Speed & Custom was founded in a basement on Bay Street in Toronto in March 1952 by George and Lois Foote as KAR-BELT.[2] It started with distributing seat belts, but eventually began offering other automotive parts. [1]
In 1961, the name was changed to Karbelt Speed & Custom, Inc., and became the first company in Canada to offer independent retail sales of performance parts.[1]
The company currently offers 120 product lines. [1]
