Karin Erlandsson, born 1978 in Nykarleby, is a professional writer. Since 2006 she lives and works on the Åland Islands.

Her first novel, Mink Farm, was published in 2014. In total, she has published 15 titles, spanning over different genres, such as crime fiction, children's books and essays.

In 2018, she was awarded with the Runeberg Junior Prize for her first children’s novel, The Pearl Fisher.[1], Erlandsson again received the Runeberg Junior Prize in 2021 for the children's novel Night Express[2].

Erlandsson's novels Mink Farm, The Pearl Fisher, The Victor and Night Express were shortlisted for the Nordic Council Literary Prize[3][4]
