Karin Kahlhofer
Karin Kahlhofer (* 28. March 1943; † 23. April 2017) was a German painter, sculptor and action artist.
Career[edit]
Karin Kahlhofer studied painting and sculpture with Gerhard Hoehme and Karl Otto Götz at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf from 1961-1965, before becoming a Master Student of the German artist Joseph Beuys in Düsseldorf.
Since 1965 Kahlhofer participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Her many study trips to European and non-European countries show that dealing with other cultures is an essential part of her work.
Karin Kahlhofer lived and worked in Cologne. One of her works is the "/ Figure Wall" created in Luenen an der Lippe in 1992.

- 1992-1997: four-month annual work visits to Indonesia
- 2000: scholarship of the city of Rotterdam
- 2001: Working scholarship of the Japan Foundation
