Karmøygeddon Metal Festival

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Karmøygeddon Metal Festival[1][2][3][4][5][6] is an annual heavy metal festival in Kopervik, Norway. The name is a portmanteau of Karmøy, the island on which it is located, and Armageddon.

It was established in 2004 by Johnny Angelund and Harald Magne Revheim.[7] After two years in their inital location, an outdoor stage in Kopervik, the festival moved to the nearby larger town of Haugesund, where it slowly and steadily grew in size and scope, eventually attracting visitors and bands from all over the world. In 2014 the arrangers decided to move it back to its initial location in Kopervik and expanded to a larger stage and a nearby camping site. In 2018 it had an estimated 4000 attendees.[8]
