Karol Adolf Beyer (February 10, 1818 - November 8, 1877) was a Polish photographer and numismatist.
Beyer is known as the "father of Polish photography". He was the first professional photographer in Warsaw, running a photographic studio from 1844-1867 where he mainly took portraits. He also photographed city views of Warsaw, Kraków, Częstochowa, Gdańsk, Malbork and Łódź. These photographs are now a valuable document of their appearance at that time.
Karol Beyer was also passionate about numismatics and archeology. In 1856, on his initiative, the Warsaw Numismatic Society was established.
