Karolina Errera (born in Moscow, November 18, 1993) is a Russian-Dominican Violist currently based in Berlin, Germany. She is a winner of multiple international competitions, a prominent soloist and a passionate chamber musician.

Karolina began her musical studies at the age of five and, after finishing the Central Music School of Moscow, she was accepted for her bachelor studies at the University of Arts Berlin[1] with Professor Wilfried Strehle. Later on, she continued her master studies with Professor Tabea Zimmermann at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin and her Professional Studies degree at the Kronberg Academy. Throughout her studying years and concert career, she had opportunities to work with such prominent musicians as Sir András Schiff, Gidon Kremer, Emmanuel Ax, Nobuko Imai, Vilde Frang and perform in world-renowned concert halls such as Berlin Philharmonie, Wigmore Hall in London, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Louis Vuitton Foundation etc.

Awards and Competitions

Karolina Errera was awarded with multiple prizes at international competitions including: I. Prize at the 9th Jan Rakowski Viola Competition [2], II. Prize at the 52nd Markneukirchen Competition[3], 1. Prize at the VIII. VIOLA MASTERS Competition [4].

Discography

In 2022, Errera's debut CD "Songs of Rain" [5] was released with Leipzig-based label GENUIN[6].
