Karthik Shamalan is a Malaysian Tamil film director and screenwriter who works primarily in Malaysian Tamil cinema. He is best known for his Tamil language dark slasher film The Farm: En Veettu Thottathil (2017) which was inspired by popular tale of Red Riding Hood. In 2014, he made his directorial debut through Melle Thiranthathu Kathavu which was a DVD film.
