Kartik Singhal
Kartik Singhal is a 2nd generation entrepreneur with a keen interest in the latest developments around the HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and Air Purification Industry. He is an alumnus of ITM-MDU (a private Engineering University in Haryana) with a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering and schooling from DPS Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
Professional Career
He joined his family business Zeco Aircon Ltd, a manufacturer of HVAC systems, in 2013 as a graduate trainee where he received rigorous training and experience under each department of the company. He was assigned multiple roles, including production planning, assistant project manager, and operational manager.
With his unbridled enthusiasm and passion, he created a distribution network in more than 8 countries with a seamless distribution channel in the domestic as well as the international market.[1] His inclination to explore new cultures and geographies enabled him to bring new technologies to India and establish it as a major business spot for providing world-class HVAC and Air Purification solutions.
After implementing a proper structure and various policies at ZECO Aircon Limited, under his leadership his company grew its revenue by 120%. Identifying the lack of general awareness & education about air pollutants, he launched a separate air purification vertical under Zeco Aircon – O2Cure – in the year 2020 with an aim to spread awareness of various health problems caused by poor air quality & provide effective and bespoke indoor air quality solutions.
He invested heavily in research of air purification technologies, which can treat and neutralize pathogens, microbial, deadly viruses, odour and particulate matter, which are a threat to our environment. A significant achievement came in September 2020, when one of the existing active purification technologies (under Zeco) was successfully tested and proven to neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) by 99.9% from air and surfaces.[2] His panel of scientists from India (IIT) and USA were in discussions with multiple virology labs since March 2020.
Vision: His vision is to spread awareness about the perils of air pollution (both indoor and outdoor).
Mission: To deliver clean breathable air to the last person.
Awards & Recognition
- He is the recipient of Indian Achiever’s Award.[3] The award is for people for whom a lack of resources and setbacks are no problem. Despite hurdles, such individuals polish their lives in their field of interest and stand apart in society.
- He is also the recipient of Business Icon Award [4]. It is awarded as a token of appreciation to celebrate talent that brings the best from the world.
- His profile has been mentioned in Forbes India – Entrepreneur 2021[1] as a Marquee. It identifies some of the top achievers in the business world and brings it to the attention of the world.
Social Activities
He is a very committed social worker. Under his initiatives and leadership, Zeco, with Lala Vidhi Chand Charitable Trust, has adopted a village & 11 government girls’ schools in Haryana. He is also a Paul Harris member of the rotary international foundation & Round Table. [1] Under his initiative, Zeco has won Global CSR Excellence Leadership awards [5] for community development by World CSR Congress in February 2018.
Initiatives during the Pandemic
Coronavirus unleashed unprecedented pain and misery on the population. To help the affected population, he released several educational videos on YouTube[6] and other Social Media platforms. The content of the videos focused on educating the masses about the importance of adhering to preventive measures and busting prevalent myths about the virus.
Under his leadership, Zeco has delivered many innovative air quality products, energy efficient products, & the most recent achievement this year, when one of O2cure’s air purifiers was successfully tested by ICMR[7] over Coronavirus, neutralizing the virus from air and surfaces, thereby helping in getting India back to work. Air Purification Solutions designed and developed under him helped various sectors to work and resume normal business activities. Moreover, under his guidance, O2cure donated 200+ corona neutralizers to coronavirus patients and hospitals [8].
Interests & Hobbies
- Resilience, graciousness in defeat, and fairness are also some of the qualities that he has imbibed after being associated with sports for a fair amount of time. He was the cricket and football team captain in his school and university as well. His sportsmanship spirit continues to motivate him to learn leadership qualities, a never-give-up attitude and team values for achieving his goals.
- He is also a globe trotter and loves to travel around the world, explore new cultures, cuisines, technologies and people.
- He is a member of some of the leading networking groups like BNI, Round Table and EO (Entrepreneur’s Organization).
