Kate Baker is the podcast editor for Clarkesworld Magazine since October 2009.
She has narrated over one hundred short stories and poems,[1] for a number of venues, including The Drabblecast, Escape Pod, Fantasy Magazine, and StarShipSofa. Her narration for Peter Watt's Clarkesworld story, "The Things", was nominated for a 2010 Parsec Award for Best Speculative Story (Short Form).[2] Along with the rest of the staff of Clarkesworld she was nominated for and won the 2011 and 2013 Hugo Award for the Best Semiprozine category.[3] The staff was also nominated for the World Fantasy Awards for the Special Award—Non-Professional category and again in 2014.[4]
As of July 2015, Baker is Operations Manager for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA).[5]
