Kate Saffin

Kate Saffin is a writer and performer based on the Oxford Canal. She has written and performed several one woman plays in Tooley's Boatyard based on the lives of working canal boat folk: A Boat's yer Whole World; based on the novel Ramlin Rose: A Boatwoman's Story by Sheila Stewart.[1] A Boat of Ill Repute about a brothel on a narrowboat on the Oxford Canal and Isobel's War about the women who worked the boats during World War II. She also wrote an adaptation of Richard III that was performed to critical acclaim at the 2010 and 2011 Edinburgh Fringe.
