Manic Panic Comix[edit]

Manic Panic Comix is a zine-style comic that ran from 1994 to 1998. The comic centers on the day to day existence of four friends, Marie, Joyce, Zab, and Tuesday and the events that unfold in their lives. The stories cover topics that range from highly dramatic (love, betrayal, and drug addiction) to the mundane (paying the rent, looking for a job). While the location is never a focus of the comic, the story takes place in Gainesville Florida, Van Zyl's place of residence during the majority of the comic's creation.
