Kate Vetricean (born 5 December 2010) is a Canadian rhythmic gymnast.[1] She represents her country in international competitions.
Career
Vetricean started training at Questo RG in 2017.[2] In 2020 she won bronze in the All-Around and gold with rope at the Olympium Invitational.[3] In 2022 she took bronze overall and silver with hoop and ball at the regional championships and became the pre-junior vice champion at the Canadian Championships.[4][3]
The following year she made her debut as a junior gymnast at the 2023 Canadian Championships, winning a bronze and gold in the ribbon final.[5] In June she was selected for the Pan American Championships in Gadalajara, competing only with hoop and ribbon she was 11th and 20th with the two apparatuses respectively.[6][7] In late September she partecipated in the Aeon Cup in Tokyo, along Suzanna Shahbazian and Tatiana Cocsanova, where Questo RG took 9th place.[8]
In 2024 she was 35th overall at the Aphrodite Cup in Athens.[9] Weeks later she won silver in the All-Around at nationals.[10] In April she competed at the Pacific Rim, where she won bronze with clubs.[11] In June she won bronze in teams, along Jana Alemam and Eva Cao, and in the All-Around at the Pan American Championships.[12] In December she won bronze with hoop among the 2010 FIG gymnasts at the Leap Into The Season Invitational in Boston.[13]
