Katee Doland-Mink (born 1980 in Arvada, Colorado) is a former beauty pageant titleholder who represented Colorado in Miss Teen USA 1998, Miss USA 2001, and Miss America 2004.
Doland won her first pageant title, Miss Colorado Teen USA 1998 in late 1997. She represented her state in the Miss Teen USA 1998 pageant broadcast live from Shreveport, Louisiana on August 17, 1998. She was a semi-finalist in the pageant, which was only Colorado's third placement, and gave Colorado two consecutive placements for the first time ever. The pageant was won by Vanessa Minnillo of South Carolina.
In the summer of 2000 Doland competed in the Miss Colorado pageant as Miss Denver, and placed in the top seven. In November, she won the Miss Colorado USA 2001 title in Aspen, Colorado, becoming the third Miss Colorado Teen USA to win the Miss title. She competed in the Miss USA 2001 pageant held in Gary, Indiana in March 2001, and won the Miss Photogenic award,[1] the second won by a delegate from Colorado.
In 2002, less than a year after giving up her Miss Colorado USA title, Doland again competed in the Miss Colorado pageant and was second runner-up. She competed again in 2003, and won the crown. Having won state titles in the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss America pageants, which only six women have achieved as of 2006, she is known as a "Triple Crown" winner.[citation needed] In the Miss America 2004 pageant held in Atlantic City, New Jersey in September 2003 Doland failed to place, but did win a non-finalist scholarship award.
Doland is a graduate of Arvada High School and Regis University,[2] where she completed a degree in elementary education.[3] Katee was a cheerleader for the Denver Broncos,[4] and at the time was their youngest cheerleader. She was also the cheerleading coach for the Arvada High School cheerleaders until 2003.
Doland is currently the publicist for the Miss Colorado pageant and director of the Miss Colorado's Outstanding Teen pageant.[5]
