Kategoria Amatore I is the fifth and highest division of amateur football in Albania. In the 2017-18 season, 10 teams are participating, among which some of them are reserve teams. Teams move up to the Kategoria e Tretë through the Kupa Amatore, and the team in last place drops to Kategoria Amatore II.
