Career
Painting
Katharine Marais has shown paintings in the United States and Canada.[2][3][4] In 2015, Marais was working in residence in Finland[5]. Folios of Marais' paintings have been published in the Adirondack Review[6] and Dream Pop Press[7]. Marais currently attends school at Columbia University in New York[8].
Ballet
Marais directed and danced in a video for Weezer's Weekend Woman with guitarist Brian Bell in 2017[9][10]. The video was made using a stop-motion technique, with film photographs that Marais and Bell took along the California coastline[9]. In 2018, she performed in Peter Halley's installation at the Lever House in New York City[11].
Illustration
Marais illustrated "The Red Bicycle" by Kai Flanders, published by Small Smile Record Collective in 2013, which LA Weekly reviewed as having a "kick-butt" soundtrack[12][13][14][15].
Poetry
Marais has been published by Blazevox in 2013 and by the Altar Collective in 2015[16][17][18]. Marais also founded th_Eroses, an online art theory and poetry magazine[19].
