Kathi Cozzone is a Chester County, Pennsylvania Commissioner.
Personal life and education[edit]
Cozzone earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the College of New Jersey. She resides in Uwchlan Township with her husband and son.[1]
Career[edit]
Prior to being elected, Kathi worked as a staff accountant and in other positions at Macmillan Publishing Company, and served as corporate business manager at Rodale, Inc.[1] Cozzone was elected to the Chester County Board of Commissioners in 2007, and was re-elected in 2011.[2] Cozzone was elected vice-chair of the commission in 2011, an unusual feat for a member of the minority party on the Chester County Board of Commissioners.[3] Cozzone has criticized what she calls the "pay-to-play mentality" of Chester County government.[4]
Cozzone was mentioned as a potential candidate in Pennsylvania's 6th congressional district after the retirement of Jim Gerlach, but declined to run.[2] Pennsylvania political operatives consider her a potential future candidate for the seat.[5]
