Katie Lowe
Katie Lowe is a British novelist and author of psychological thrillers The Furies (2019) and Possession/The Murder of Graham Catton (2021).
Biography[edit]
Lowe studied English at BA level at the University of Birmingham, completing an MPhil in Literature and Modernity at the same institution in 2011. She then worked in recruitment for several years, before returning to Birmingham in 2019 to complete her PhD in English Literature, with a focus on women's anger in literary modernism.
Works[edit]
Lowe's debut novel, The Furies was published in 2019 by HarperCollins in the UK and Commonwealth (excluding Canada)[1], and St Martin's Press in the USA.[2] It was also translated into a further eight languages worldwide.[3] The Furies is a feminist dark academia novel, following a group of teenage girls at a British private school who use witchcraft to exact revenge on men accused of sexual assault. The novel received positive reviews in The Times[4], The Guardian[5], Publishers Weekly[6], and Kirkus, who described the novel as an "elegant, pitch-perfect coming-of-age story."[7]
Her second psychological thriller, titled Possession in the USA, and The Murder of Graham Catton in the UK/Commonwealth, is set to be published in 2021.
