Katoptris

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

This knife was originally a wedding present to Helen of Troy from her first husband Menelaus, and when looked upon, it can show much more than the holder's reflection. Helen used the dagger as a mirror, which is why she named it Katoptris, meaning "mirror" It was not used as a weapon when Helen was the owner, but only as a portable mirror so that she could look at her beautiful reflection.

Katoptris is mostly not used in war but more ceremonial, carried by high-ranking officers in the Greek armies. It showed the wielder was a powerful and wealthy person, but it could be used in a fight as well. The knife also appeared in the Lost Hero, a book written by Rick Riordan where it's written to be the weapon of Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite.
