Katrina Kemp

Katrina Kemp (born 28 February 1990 in Burbank, CA) is an American actor, voice-actor, Post Production transcriptionist, and stunt woman. She is best known for playing Fleck in the First National Tour of Love Never Dies, the sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera.[1] She attended Cleveland High School in Reseda, CA and graduated from California State University Northridge with a focus in film and television. She has appeared in a variety of entertainment mediums such as television, musical theater, commercials, print, and live events. Standing at 3'6", she has a rare form of dwarfism known as Pseudoachondroplasia.

Career[edit]

Katrina has been performing since she was a child and began her career as Chucky the Killer Doll for Halloween Horror Nights and House of Horrors at Universal Studios Hollywood.[2] Early on, she joined a dark-themed circus called Cirque Berzerk.[3] She has appeared in a number of music videos including Rihanna's "S&M," which is banned in 11 countries.[4] From there she made several guest star appearances in drag queen produced projects with DWV, and Bob the Drag Queen. Later, she would appear on RuPaul's Drag Race as 'Killer' in the episode titled "Scream Queens". [5]

Branching into the film and television industry, Katrina starred in the Feature Film Unlucky Charms by Full Moon Features and directed by Charles Band. In her first television appearance, she had the role as a recurring character, Brenda, throughout MTV's Faking It series.[6] This lead to appearances in FX's Man Seeking Woman, Adult Swim's The Eric Andre Show, and she voiced the first recurring little person cartoon character on Disney XD's Marvel's Spider-Man as Anna Maria Marconi, in addition to a number of stunts in commercials. Among other live-action roles, she became a member of R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance), the resident dance collective for mashup event, Bootie LA, at various locations across California. R.A.I.D. made and appearance on NBC's America's Got Talent Season 7.[7]

In 2014, Katrina was hired by Miley Cyrus to join her on the South American leg of the Bangerz Tour as a backup dancer.[8] Her last stage production was the First US National Tour titled Love Never Dies (the sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera).[9] The tour lasted a total of 18-month and premiered in Broadway houses across 41 cities with Katrina completing 409 live shows as the Principle character Fleck, the Aerialist Extraordinaire.
