Kauthuka Park is a small educational biodiversity park located near Chalakudy and Athirappilly in Thrissur district of Kerala, India.[1] The park occupies approximately one acre and is designed as a miniature representation of the ecological and cultural landscape of Kerala. The project was initiated in 2002 as a private effort aimed at promoting environmental awareness and public education.[2] After several stages of development and the creation of educational exhibits, the park was opened to visitors in 2006. The park integrates elements of biodiversity conservation, agriculture, culture, and traditional knowledge. It includes a variety of plant species such as wild plants, agricultural crops, and culturally significant species. Water bodies within the park support aquatic plants and fish, while birds and small animals inhabit the ecosystem. Kauthuka Park also presents cultural and historical exhibits inspired by traditional elements of Kerala heritage, including representations of ancient burial sites such as Nandangadi and Muniyara. The park serves as an informal educational space presenting themes related to ecology, zoology, botany, agriculture, and environmental conservation.Kauthuka Park has been recognized as a small ecological and educational attraction in the Chalakudy–Athirappilly tourism region of Kerala.
