Anil Anantrao Patil (born 26 January 1960) is a Marathi poet and ghazal writer. He is well known for writing in the Varhadi dialect, which is spoken in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. His career spans over 3 decades of writing work, which includes writing poetry collections.[citation needed] He has received several awards for his writing.[1][2][3][4]
Biography
Anil Anantrao Patil was born in Partwada, Taluka Achalpur, Amravati district on 26 January 1960. He holds a Master of Arts in Marathi and a Bachelor of Education in Marathi. He has participated in many literary and poetry gatherings and has participated in Kavi Sammelans all over Maharashtra. His poems depict the joy, sorrow, and struggles of society. His poems are famous in the Vidarbha region.[5]

- Famous ghazal writer Sureshdada Bhatt included two of his ghazals in his book.
