Keith L. Craig is a former athlete and soldier. He served in the United States Army from 1984 to 2016, attaining the rank of sergeant major. He also played three games of professional American football as a backup wide receiver in the World League of American Football (WLAF) during the 1991 season. After leaving the military, he was employed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. [1]

Early years[edit]

Craig was born in Mobile, Alabama, in 1966 and grew up in Yantley, Alabama.[2]

Military career[edit]

Craig enlisted in the United States Army in 1984.[2] He was assigned to Camp Pieri in Germany in 1987. He was later assigned to Wiesbaden Army Airfield. He worked in logistics until 2002. He was deployed to Iraq in 2004. In 2002, he was deployed to Haiti as part of a American humanitarian mission. He was later deployed to Afghanistan in 2011, working in support operations.[2] According to Craig's personal web site, he earned 52 awards and decorations.[1] He retired from the Army in 2016.[2]

Football career[edit]

Craig briefly played professional American football for Frankfurt Galaxy of the WLAF. He appeared in three games as a backup wide receiver during the 1991 season.[3][4]

Craig also played for the Wiesbaden Flyers in United States Air Force Football League. He was described as the "premier receiver in the league" by Stars and Stripes.[5] He also played for the Rheinmain Rockets in 1993 and received all-conference honors as a wide receiver in the Continental Sports Conference (CSC). He also set CSC receiving records with 83 catches for 1,260 yards and 12 touchdowns.[6]

Entertainment business[edit]

After retiring from the military, Craig worked for Walt Disney Studios as part of the theatrical sales and distribution team.[2] He was a sales manager at Disney, working as part of the marketing team for Avengers: Endgame. He later left Disney and became president of Clever Talks.[2]
