Life and Career[edit]

Journey from Photography: 1978–1991[edit]

Keith Payson graduated from Reseda High while at that time apprenticing as a Photographer's assistant to Playboy contributor Mario Casilli. He was awarded a scholarship by Photographic Society of America to enter the Rochester Institute of Technology the result of his exceptional promise for a career in photography.[9] Keith began his career as an editorial and advertising photographer where he began to explore the art of visual storytelling. His love of communication blossomed into a passion for conveying ideas and feelings through dialogue, sound effects and well a series of well composed images, thus he spent the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s producing award winning television commercials. Keith spent five years producing commercials for major advertising agency creative’s and corporate brands, including Dentsu and Mattel.

Head of Studios: 1991-present[edit]

His producing talents were again quickly recognized and he was asked to produce a low-budget independent film for Paramount Home Video. The film was not a big hit, yet Keith’s ability to provide production value by making 1.5 million dollars look like 3.5 million on-screen, was duly noted by the Paramount executives and a four-picture deal was quickly signed.[10][11][12][13] Keith was immediately promoted to Head of Production for the small independent film company and in a very short time the four picture deal turned to ten and later a twenty-two picture deal for Paramount Home Video.[4]

Keith went on to produce film projects for Columbia Tri-Star Television, Popular Arts Entertainment, Millbrook Farm Productions, Megalomania Productions and Twentieth Century Fox Searchlight Pictures [14] to name a few. Eventually he was able to join the ranks of the top professionals in film production by becoming a member of the esteemed Directors Guild of America.

Recently Keith accepted a position as Head of Studios for Bigfoot Entertainment in Cebu, Philippines, where his skills in visual communication, producing and negotiating were utilized to position Bigfoot as a leading force in the global film industry. Bigfoot Studios is a provider of first class sound stage, equipment and post-productions facilities to filmmakers from around the world.
