Kelly Bennett is an American Broadcast Journalist based in Orange County, California.[1][2] She was a Public Affairs Specialist at Time Warner Cable from (2006-11). In 1999, she won a Golden Mic, and an Associated Press Award in 1997.[3]
Career[edit]
Kelly started her career at KSBR 88.5 FM in 1996. Kelly served Orange County NewsChannel as a Senior Assignment Editor for two years. Later in 2001, she joined Adelphia Communications as the Community Relations Manager and the host of Prime Story.[4][5] In 2006, she was appointed as a Public Affairs Specialist at Time Warner Cable.[6] Notably, she was a co-host for KSBR 88.5FM Radio's Breakfast with Gary and Kelly, from 2006 to 2019 where she has interviewed several celebrities and musicians including Linda Evans, Debbie Reynolds, Bobby Caldwell, Al Jarreau.[7][8] In 2010, she was named Society Editor for Orange County Newspapers.
In 2009, she founded Bennett Unlimited PR, a Public Relations firm based in Laguna Niguel, California.[9][10]
Philanthropy[edit]
In 2008, she formed a non profit called Parents for Aliso Niguel - PFAN. The PFAN, organized a Taste of Aliso Niguel, which was the largest fundraiser for Aliso Niguel High School.[11][12]
