After training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Kelly began her career playing minor roles in the West End musicals Mamma Mia and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White, but came to prominence by famously replacing an indisposed Jenna Russell as Sarah Brown at the very first preview of the Donmar Warehouse’s West End revival of Guys and Dolls in 2005, starring opposite Ewan McGregor.
