Kelly Chen Vitzthum previously Kelly Vitz; (born June 10, 1988) is an American dentist and former actress, mainly credited as Kelly Vitz. Vitzthum is best known for her role in the 2005 teen comedy movie, Sky High. She is also known for her roles in films like Simon Says[1] and Nancy Drew.
Vitzthum was born on June 10, 1988, to Olivia Chen and Monte Vitzthum. She is of Chinese and German ancestry. In 2002, she had her first appearance onscreen as a student in an episode of Lizzie McGuire. In 2005, she starred alongside Michael Angarano and Kurt Russell in the superhero movie, Sky High, as Magenta, a girl with the power to change herself into a guinea pig.[2]
Following the success of Sky High, Vitzthum starred in the 2006 slasher film, Simon Says. She then appeared with Emma Roberts and Daniella Monet in Nancy Drew, as Trish, a friend of Monet's character. Her last acting appearance was in 2010 as Ailes Gilmour in the movie Leonie.[3]
Since her retirement from acting, Vitzthum completed her D.D.S. degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry.[4] She now works as a project and policy analyst for the school.[5]
