Kellyville High School (KHS) is a government secondary school located in Kellyville, New South Wales, a suburb in the Hills District of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The school is operated by the Department of Education (New South Wales) and caters for students in Years 7 to 12.[1][2]

History

Kellyville High School was established in 2003[3] to serve the rapidly growing population of Kellyville and surrounding suburbs. The school initially opened with students in Years 7 and 8 before expanding each year to become a full Years 7–12 secondary school.[4]

Administration

Kellyville High School is administered by the Department of Education (New South Wales). The school is led by a principal supported by deputy principals, head teachers, classroom teachers and administrative staff.[5]

Students

The school enrols students from Years 7 to 12. Students primarily come from Kellyville and neighbouring suburbs including Beaumont Hills, North Kellyville, Bella Vista and Stanhope Gardens.[6]

Campus

The campus contains general classrooms, science laboratories, technology workshops, specialist learning spaces, sporting facilities, a library and performing arts areas. Since opening, the school has undergone upgrades to accommodate increasing enrolments and the continued growth of north-west Sydney.[7]

Curriculum

Kellyville High School follows the curriculum developed by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA). Students study a broad range of mandatory subjects in the junior years before selecting elective subjects and senior courses leading to the Higher School Certificate (HSC).[8][9]

The school operates a house system for sporting carnivals and other school activities
