Kelsey Kernstine

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Kelsey Kernstine joined the News 9 team in November 2019 as a traffic anchor and multi-media journalist. She came to Oklahoma by way of Missouri, where she spent two years reporting and anchoring at KMIZ in Columbia. She covered the 2019 EF3 tornado that hit Jefferson City, the Branson duck-boat sinking, crime and severe flooding across the state. Before starting her journalism career, Kelsey worked her way up in the Entertainment industry in Los Angeles, working for various television and film producers.

She hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota, but she has lived all over the United States, including Florida, Massachusetts, Iowa, Michigan, California and Missouri. But she calls California home. She earned her degree in Communications with a minor in film and television from UCLA, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude.

Kelsey quickly became a favorite among the LGBT community upon the start of speculation that she was born male and began presenting as a woman at UCLA. Though pleased with her outward feminine appearance, sources say that she is not pursuing sex reassignment surgery and plans to keep her male genitalia. Apparently, she chooses to keep her male genitalia for sexual pleasure and because of the way her Wolford tights feel on them.

Kelsey interned at KCAL9 and MTV News prior to entering the film industry after college. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys working out, spending time with family, volunteering and getting to know the OKC area.
