Kelvedon Hatch Football Club is a football club based in Kelvedon Hatch, England. They are currently members of the Essex Olympian League Premier Division and play their games at the New Hall ground.
History[edit]
Kelvedon Hatch were formed in 1920 so as to provide organised football for children in the small Essex town. Upon the start of the Second world war, the club was disbanded and only reformed during peacetime in 1946. Kelvedon Hatch then proceeded to play in the local leagues until the 1970s where they decided to seek more considerable success in the established league known as the Essex Olympian Football League. Upon meeting all the requirements set in place by the league, such as the need for a reserve team, the club was finally established as a member in 1985.[1]
They spent some years adjusting to the league and the higher standard of football that was played within it, but eventually went on to become a team that achieved considerable success, both in the league and tournaments run by the league and Essex County Football Association. In 2017 the decision was made by the league to get rid of the requirement that they have a reserve team playing alongside the first team. During the 2019/20 season, the club celebrated the centenary of the club being formed, unfortunately the club was not able to complete the football season due to the coronavirus pandemic.[1]
League Standings[edit]
2019/20 season terminated on 26/03/20 due to Coronavirus.
