Kenol is a town in Southern Murang'a county, it is in Makuyu ward and is inhabet by the Kikuyu people. According to a 2019 census Kenol's population is 44,086. It is situated about 60 km north of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.
The town is known for its agricultural activities, particularly the growing of tea and coffee. The area around Kenol is also known for its horticultural crops such as French beans, snow peas, and passion fruit. The town also has a small industrial area which includes a few factories, mostly dealing with manufacturing of agricultural inputs and agribusiness.
The town has a few amenities like a hospital, supermarkets, schools and a police station.
Kenol's population is a mixture of different ethnic groups, with the majority being Kikuyu, followed by Kamba, Luo and Meru. The town is home to several churches and mosques. The people of Kenol are known for their warm hospitality and strong sense of community.
