Kentucky House Bill 258: An ACT relating to Conversion Therapy

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

House Bill 258 was filed on January 25, 2018, during the Kentucky Regular Session by Representative Jim Wayne. If passed, the bill would have created new sections of KRS Chapters 311, 319, and 335 to prohibit practitioners from engaging in conversion therapy, including the compensation and advertisement for conversion therapy. Additionally, it would have required violations to be subject to board discipline and false claim laws and would prohibit public funds from being used for conversion therapy.[1]

The bill was submitted as part of the Trevor Project’s 50 Bills, 50 States Campaign to ban conversion therapy for minors across the United States.
