Kept on Wikipedia:Brake check
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
A brake check, also known as a brake test, occurs when a driver deliberately either taps on the brakes several times or slams hard on the pedal to show their intention of the rear driver that they are following too close to the front vehicle. Often times, both parties involved in this situation are in the fast lane or are both travelling at a considerable amount of speed.[1]
