- Comment: I have discussed this draft with User:Liz, an admin, at User talk:Liz#Exchange article. Liz recommends submitting via AFC and having someone knowledgeable about crypto exchanges review this article before moving it into mainspace. I know that crypto subjects are not well liked on Wikipedia per WP:GS/Crypto, so I know that it's a good idea to stay out of small companies. I would personally agree that over 90% of all new crypto-related articles are not notable enough, but anyone in the crypto community can tell you that Bybit is definitely notable as one of the best-known exchanges. However, this company is very notable and one of the top 3 exchanges, with a lot of notable news from credible publications. A7 doesn't apply if you check all the citations. I also tried not to make the page sound promotional, even though many of the sources looked like PR. I also noticed that someone else has another draft at Draft:Bybit, but that version was very poorly written. That was why I wanted to give the draft a complete rewrite. This article should be reviewed by editors who are actually knowledgeable about this industry. Bybit is one of the top 3 crypto derivatives exchange, so there's no way that they wouldn't be notable at all. Ferrousmeteor8 (talk) 20:21, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

Bybit is a cryptocurrency exchange that allows users to transact cryptocurrencies.[1][2] It was founded in 2018[3] and is registered in the British Virgin Islands.[4] It has 3 million registered users worldwide.[5][6]
It operates worldwide except in the United States,[7] mainland China, Singapore, Quebec (Canada) and a few other jurisdictions.[8] It is in 180 countries and in 13 languages.[9][10]
History[edit]
In March 2018, Ben Zhou founded Bybit.[11][9] Bybit started as a cryptocurrency derivatives platform that provides trading in perpetual contracts.[12]
Bybit organized the Bitcoin trading competition, BTC Brawl, in November 2019.[13] In 2020, Bybit organized another competition, the World Series of Trading (WSOT).[14]
In November 2020, German football team Borussia Dortmund signed a partnership with Bybit to improve its presence in Asia.[15]
Bybit launched ByFi Center in May 2021, which is a platform for everyday crypto users to access simplified DeFi products or flexible staking.[16][17] Bybit also contributed to DAO-directed treasury, BitDAO, in July 2021.[18]
Bybit started including spot trading beginning on July 15, 2021.[11][19] In August 2021, Bybit signed esports deals with esports organizations, NAVI,[20], Virtus.pro,[21] Astralis and Alliance.[22][23] In September, Bybit debuted its Bybit Launchpad platform, which listed BitDAO's native token, BIT. It is reportedly open to those Bybit users who have completed KYC L1, to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.[24]
OSC Controversy[edit]
In June 2021, the Ontario Securities Commission was reported to be taking action against Bybit after it allegedly failed to enter discussions about bringing its platforms under provincial laws. The commission was asked to order Bybit to stop trading securities, and pay an administrative penalty of an amount no more than $1 million. Bybit was also ordered to cover the costs of the this investigation. In response, Bybit released a statement claiming legal compliance as one of their top priorities, and said they will consult their legal team and discuss the issue with the provincial regulators.[25]
Products and services[edit]
Bybit offers cryptocurrency trading, staking and mining, an NFT marketplace,[26] as well as token launchpad and institutional services.[11][12][27][28]
In July 2021, Bybit partnered up with identity verification provider Sumsub to develop a two-level know your customer (KYC) verification features.[29][30][31]
