Kept on Wikipedia:CALT

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The advancement of technology has enormously affected various aspects of knowledge and education, to which the field of language assessment is not an exception. Specifically, computers have revolutionized language testing leading to new developments such as Computer Assisted Language Testing (CALT). Early CALT developments include Web‐based L2 tests, customized language assessment, and explorations into computer-adaptive tests (CATs). Many book-length treatments of CALT have been published since 1990.[1] For a brief introduction of the field, recent developments, challenges, and future directions for CALT, the following link leads you to a book chapter by Suvorov and Hegelheimer (2013).[2]
