Chitra Tripathi
Chitra Tripathi is an Indian journalist and currently works as deputy editor and news anchor at Aaj Tak. She is known for her fastest unique style of reporting from ground zero.[1]

Early life[edit]
Chitra Tripathi was born in a middle-class family in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. She went to A. D. Government Girls Inter College, Gorakhpur and then got a degree in Defence Studies from Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. Initially, she wanted to join Indian Army.[citation needed]
Career[edit]
But she got an opportunity for news anchoring at Doorddarshan a local regional news channel and then got selected in ETV. She wanted to join a journalism college but seeing the high fees, she couldn't get into one. She also worked with Sahara India and India News. She joined ABP News in 2016, which gave her popularity across the country. She hosted show's like 2019 Kaun Jeetega, Kaun Banega CM, Modi Ke Char saal and Bihar Ka Neta Kaisa Ho on ABP News.
In February 2019,joined Aaj Tak as deputy editor, where she hosted Desh Tak(Now,Shankhnaad).She also hosts her special election coverage show 'Bullet Reporter'. She is passionate about her work. In October 2020, she tested positive for COVID 19 after fierce reporting of Hathras rape case for 2 days continuously. After recovery, she got back to work and did the coverage of Bihar Assembly Election. She displays a strong feeling of women empowerment.[2]

In 2008, she married to Atul Agrawal, who is also a journalist. Couple have son named Aum.[citation needed]
Achievements[edit]
She is a gold medallist in NCC and was also made guard of honour as a NCC cadet. She received Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism award in 2015 for her courageous reporting in Kashmir. She was also awarded with Chairman's excellence award in December 2020 by India Toaday Group on the occasion of it's 45th anniversary. In April 2021 she got ENBA award for best early Prime time show, Deshtak (Now,Shankhnaad).
