CitizenLab is an online platform for citizen engagement, used by local governments. It has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium[1]. The platform is active since 2015 and help governments to consult their citizens' voice on policy-related topics.[2][3]

Wietse Van Ransbeeck and Aline Muylaert, founders of CitizenLab, were awarded as Forbes (tijdschrift) '30 Under 30' in the category 'Law & Policy' 2018[4].
Local governments[edit]
Both small municipalities and big cities use CitizenLab for citizen participation. Amongst others the city of Vancouver is using CitizenLab[5] to centralise its citizen participation projects.
