Emmy Bronsard (born October 13, 2004) is a Canadian ice dancer. With her partner, Aissa Bouaraguia, she is the 2020 Canadian national junior gold medalist, the 2019 JGP Croatia bronze medalist, and the 2020 Bavarian Open junior silver medalist.

Personal Life[edit]

Bronsard was born in Levis, Quebec. She enjoys cooking, alpine skiing, ballet and playing with her dog.^[1]

Skating Career[edit]

Bronsard started skating in 2007 and initially competed in singles, winning a gold medal in the pre-novice ladies' event at Minto Summer Skate 2017.^[2]

Bronsard and Bouaraguia teamed up in 2014 and were the juvenile champions at the 2016 Québec Sectionals, and placed second at the 2017 Skate Canada Challenge in the pre-novice division.^[3] The following season, they paused to focus on singles before making the jump to juniors in the 2018-19 season. They are currently training with Marie-France Dubreuil, Patrice Lauzon, Romain Haguenauer, and Pascal Denis in Montreal, Quebec.

2018-19 season: Junior Grand Prix debut[edit]

In 2018-19, Bronsard and Bouaraguia made their ISU Junior Grand Prix debut on the 2018-19 ISU Junior Grand Prix. They placed 4th at the JGP Czech Skate and 6th at the JGP Yerevan in Armenia. At the 2019 Canadian Junior Championships, they finished 6th.

2019-20 season: Junior national title[edit]

Bronsard and Bouaraguia started the 2019-20 season with a silver medal Lake Placid International. On the 2019-20 ISU Junior Grand Prix, they won the bronze medal at the JGP Croatia in Zagreb, and placed 4th at the JGP Courchevel, France. At the 2020 Canadian Junior Champions, they won the Junior title, followed by a silver medal at the 2020 Bavarian Open in the Junior division, qualifying them for the team to the 2020 World Junior Championships, where they placed 9th.
