The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC; L’Institut des fonds d’investissement du Canada in French) is an investment funds industry association that focuses on strengthening the investment funds industry, fostering public confidence in investment funds, and enabling investors to achieve good outcomes. History
The Canadian Mutual Funds Association (CMFA) was formed in 1962 to establish a national association for the mutual funds industry. On April 15, 1976, the association’s name was changed to The Investment Funds Institute of Canada.
Membership
IFIC brings together approximately 150 organizations, including fund managers, distributors, and industry service organizations, to foster a strong, stable investment sector. IFIC’s broad membership base provides unique perspectives on issues and access to expertise within the investment funds industry.[3]
