Michael Levin (October 20, 1978)[citation needed] is an American environmental attorney and politician. A member of the California Democratic Party, he is currently running for the United States House of Representatives in California's 49th congressional district, located in northern San Diego County and southern Orange County, for the seat held by Darrell Issa.

Mike Levin was raised in South Orange County and attended high school at Loyola High School in Los Angeles. He completed his bachelor's degree at Stanford University and then attended Duke University School of Law. After law school, he served as Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Orange County, and has worked as an attorney focused on environmental and energy regulatory compliance and government affairs. An advocate of clean energy and sustainable transportation, he founded an environmental nonprofit in Orange County and has served on the board of another environmental nonprofit based in San Diego. He currently lives in San Juan Capistrano, California.[1]

In March 2017, he announced a run for Congress in California's 49th District against Darrell Issa for the congressional elections of 2018.[2] As of July 2017, Levin had raised more money than any challenger for California's congressional races.[3]
