Vtiger is a software company headquartered in Bangalore, India. It develops customer relationship management (CRM) software.[1][2][3][4]
History
The company was launched by the labs division of AdventNet, the parent company of Zoho.[5][6] It launched its first version in December of 2004, which integrated several open source technologies to simplify application deployment including, controversially, version 1.0 of SugarCRM led SugarCRM to restrict its open source license.
From 2004 to 2009, the business developed its open source offering, and generated revenue from professional services such as training, implementation, integration, and customization.[7][8] In 2009 the company moved farther toward SMEs by launching a SaaS application and changing its target market to SMEs without IT departments.[9][10]
Features
Vtiger CRM provides companies with software tools for customer relationship management.[11][12][13]Its primary focus areas are contact management, sales management, and customer support ticket management.[14][15] It has a system for managing projects, and for automatically tracking inventory stock against invoices created in the system.[16][17][18][19]
The software supports multiple languages, including French, German, and Spanish. Through browser addons, Vtiger CRM can be integrated with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Mozilla Thunderbird.[20]
