XSET(also known as XSET Gaming) is an American professional esports organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. It was established on July 16,2020 by co-founders Greg Selkoe(former president of FaZe Clan), Marco Mereu, Wil Eddins, and Clinton Sparks[1] . XSET has teams representing it in multiple games including Fortnite , Valorant, Rocket League, Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and a few others.[2] Shortly after its inception, the organization announced its partnership with sports nutrition brand, GHOST®.[3]

History
XSET is an esports club founded on July 16, 2020, by a group of former executives at FaZe Clan.[4] The origin of XSET comes from the idea of creating an esports organization that focuses on the inclusivity and channeling of efforts toward various causes such as the Black Lives Matter movement, mental health, and environmental consciousness.[5]
Call of Duty: Mobile
XSET joined the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship which was announced by Activision on April 22, 2020.[6][7] The organization qualified to the Regional playoff stages with its official roster featuring Silva, Impulsive, Yuna, Maralto, and Deathlyz. The grand finals came down to only two teams, XSET and Tribe Gaming.[8] XSET's team came 2nd place in the tournament's regional playoffs and secured a prize of $10,000.
Fortnite
Shortly after its launch, XSET recruited to its Fortnite roster, 3rd place FNCS Duos Finalists, Knight and RogueShark, along with players Av and Snood.[9] On November 13, 2020, XSET's Fortnite team secured first place in the DreamHack Open Finals NA-East event with 338 points. This won the team a prize of $15,000.
XSET's Fornite team also won the Super Cup which had a prize pool of $1 million. XSET's signee, 'Av', along with Luminosity Gaming player, 'Jamper', secured first place in Fortnite's $1M Super Cup on November 21, 2020.[10] This won the duo team a prize of $3,500.
Rocket League
On September 20, 2020, XSET's Rocket League team which included players JPowzer, AlphaKep, AlRaz, and TreyRL, secured the 7th position in the RLCS Season X - Fall: NA Regional Event 2 tournament. [11]This won the team $4,000.
Valorant
On 26th October 2020, XSET announced its official Valorant roster. The roster included players Thwifo, Aryin, PureR, Wedid, and Brando.[12] Currently, the team competes in the Fall 2020 Valorant season.
PUBG Mobile
XSET has a PUBG Mobile team. [13] The organization announced its signing of five PUBG Mobile professional players on September 3, 2020.[14] This official PUBG Mobile team included players Juicy, NiKo, Angry, RoiiDz, and Joey. They represented the brand in the PUBG Mobile Pro League Americas and secured 10th place (A-tier) on 18th of October 2020. This won the squad a prize of $2,500. XSET also won $3,000 on October 24, 2020, after placing 10th in the PUBG Mobile Pro League Americas Finals. This won the team $4,000.
Call of Duty: Warzone
XSET announced its entry to Call of Duty Warzone on July 21, 2020, after signing players Barton, BTJ, Russ, and Kekoa. This team is known to have held a previous world record for the most kills in a Warzone match.
Madden
XSET announced it will be participating in some Madden NFL events after signing the Madden Bowl 20 champion, Joke, to its official Madden roster on August 23, 2020.[15]
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
XSET signed an all-female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team to make up its official roster. The squad was announced on November 20, 2020 and it included Michaela ‘mimi’ Lintrup, Zainab ‘zAAz’ Turkie, Julia ‘juliano’ Kiran, Petra ‘Petra’ Stoker, and Anastasia ‘kr4sy’ Khlobystina.[16]

The organization features a Special Team which includes some public figures, pro athletes, pro streamers, and pro gamers.[17][18] All these icons come as official representatives of XSET.[19][20]

On August 18, 2020, XSET announced its two-year partnership with sports nutrition brand, GHOST®.[21] Known to be the first partnership of XSET Gaming since its launch,[22] it promoted GHOST® as the official XSET's partner of record for performance, gaming, and protein supplements.[23]
XSET's second partnership was announced by the organization on September 9, 2020. The partnership was signed with Game controller company, Scuf Gaming.[24] This collaboration made it the official game controller provider for XSET gaming.[25].
On October 28, 2020, XSET Gaming announced Swae Lee as its first official investor.[26][27][28]
