Kevin Gavin is an American journalist and radio personality. He is the host of the radio program The Confluence in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Career[edit]
Kevin Gavin was born in Etna, Pennsylvania. He graduated with a degree in Journalism from Duquesne University. After graduating, he became the first news director for the University's radio station, WDUQ. He remained with the station until it was acquired, and now operates as 90.5 WESA. In 2016, he launched and began hosting The Confluence, a daily show. Notable figures that he has interviewed include Franco Harris, Jesse Owens, Alex Trebek, Hank Aaron, Michael Collins, Bob Keeshan, and Herb Douglas.[1][2]
Gavin has been hosting an annual holiday music show for 46 years, starting in 1977. Music is played from his personal collection[3][4].
