Kevin Gorg is an American sportscaster. He is known for his work as a host, reporter and hockey analyst Fox Sports North.

Biography[edit]

Early life and career[edit]

Gorg attended Burnsville High School where he played goaltender for the Burnsville boys’ hockey team. He helped lead the team to a MSHSL state championship in 1985.[1] After high school, Gorg played in the United States Hockey League for the Des Moines Buccaneers, where he was chosen as both the Most Valuable and Most Popular Player. After his stint in Des Moines, he played for the University of St. Thomas, winning 3 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships and qualifying for the National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament his senior year[2]. After college, he coached boys' hockey at his alma mater in Burnsville, then Mounds View High School. In the late 1990s, he returned to collegiate sports as the first coach of the women's hockey team at St. Thomas, a post he held until 2007.

FOX Sports North and Canterbury Park[edit]

Gorg is a sideline reporter for Fox Sports North, covering the Minnesota Wild and the Minnesota Twins. He also works as a handicapper and race analyst for Canterbury Park.

Gorg can be heard as an occasional guest on KFAN FM 100.3.
