Kevin Kurniawan (widely known as Liu Musix) is a professional guitarist from Jakarta, Indonesia. He is an independent musical artist who began his journey in music back in 2012 when he was just in Junior high school. As a young guitarist with a high ambition in furthering his music, Liu Musix likes to travel and create music videos during his time in China starting in 2019. With his passion and dedication to music, Liu Musix successfully released his first official video on YouTube in March 2019, titled Stand By Me-Ben E.King. Liu Musix is a passionate and traveling musician that has dedicated his life to music and performance. Perfecting his technical abilities and unique Fingerstyle Guitar song covers, LiuMusix has proven that combining music with travel has more appeal, while also inspiring people all around the world.[1]
Early Life
Kevin Kurniawan (Liu Musix) was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. He began to play guitar in Junior High School, at the age of 12 after his father gave him his first guitar. Liu Musix decided to learn guitar by himself, believing he would be able to learn through autodidactism. It did not take long for him to broaden his knowledge of playing the guitar, as he also enjoyed watching YouTube and learning how guitarists interpret their styles, especially in Fingerstyle technique. In early 2014, Liu Musix started performing as a lead guitarist in his junior high school band for some fellowship events and other annual events. Liu Musix also performed as a drummer, not just as a guitarist. He began a new journey abroad in China. He went to Nanjing University Of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) majoring in Aeronautical Engineering. Liu Musix revealed his biggest dream of becoming an Airline pilot since he was 5 years old, and he said that "he would not succeed without music, as music has been part of his life that pushes his endeavor in his career." During his time in China, Liu Musix liked to travel a lot and visited many beautiful places in Nanjing, China. These places reminded him that he would not lose his inspiration in his music. Supported by his favorite artists, the two members of Canadian band The Moffats, Clint Moffatt and Bob Moffatt, Liu Musix has a bigger spirit and is more ambitious than before. He successfully began to create many wonderful musical videos on his YouTube Channel to this day. As of today, Liu Musix has become a notable musical artist in some territories, also featured on most online music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and many more.[2]
