Kevin Kurz is the San Jose Sharks Insider at Comcast SportsNet in San Francisco and covers the Sharks for CSNBayArea.com and CSNCalifornia.com. He joined the network in September 2011. He also contributes to SportsNet Central, Yahoo! Sports Talk Live, Sharks Pregame Live, and Sharks Postgame Live, as well as other NHL-related programming.
Career[edit]
Kurz spent nearly two years as a digital content producer for Comcast Sports Group in Philadelphia, where he provided columns and features for two of Comcast Sports Group’s NHL teams: the San Jose Sharks (for CSNBayArea.com and CSNCalifornia.com) and the Philadelphia Flyers (for CSNPhilly.com).
Prior to his tenure with Comcast Sports Group, Kurz served in various capacities with the Philadelphia Flyers, including as managing editor of PhiladelphiaFlyers.com,[1] manager of communications and new media, and communications coordinator.
He began his career in hockey as the assistant director of public relations for the American Hockey League's Philadelphia Phantoms who were coached at the time by current Los Angeles Kings assistant John Stevens. Kurz worked for the Phantoms' public relations department during the NHL lockout of 2004-05, as Philadelphia captured the Calder Cup under Stevens.

Kurz, a native of Villanova, Pennsylvania and graduate of Radnor High School, received his B.A. in broadcast journalism from Ithaca College in New York. [2]
