Kevin Layne (actor)
Kevin Layne (born Kevin Williams; February 20 1979) is a British actor. Some of his most notable roles include: Kirk in Guerrilla (miniseries), Resistance Bomber Pilot #1 in Star Wars: The Last Jedi,[1] Barkhad in 15 Minutes De Guerre, and submarine pilot in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.[2][3] He's been quoted about submarine battles in the upcoming Jurassic film[4] and discussed the casting and filming processes.[5][6] He is also cast as Shades in the upcoming Showtime series Patrick Melrose.
Career[edit]
Layne's acting Career started when he was accepted into the Arts Educational Schools, London.[7] [8] Initially, Layne started out doing small plays around London and in the West End and moved on to feature in network television shows such as Showtime's Guerrilla (miniseries) and Killer Cops on CBS Reality playing the role of real life serial killing police officer David Middleton.
Personal Life[edit]
Layne was born in Wembley, London, to Trinidadian parents Allyson Williams MBE and Vernon "Fellows" Williams (Notting Hill Carnival pioneer). He has 5 older siblings. Layne is the father to Kayden and Layne Williams and is engaged to singer/songwriter Natasha Awuku. He attended Preston Manor School, Wembley, and in later life went on to earn his MA in acting at Arts Educational Schools, London.
