Kevin Meißner [ˈkɛvɪn ˈmaɪ̯snɐ], Marc Kevin Meißner (* August 25, 1997 in Eilenburg) is a german composer and producer. He has been active as a solo musician since 2021. His works are composed of elements of neo-classical music as well as spherical sounds of electronic music.

Career[edit]

Meißner began making music in early childhood. He gained his first experience with keyboard instruments with the melodica and the accordion. In his youth his interest in playing the piano developed, whereupon he learned to play without notes, by ear, from a blind cantor in the local church parish. Soon he showed his first interest in composing, especially in writing film scores.

At the age of 17, he began to put his first compositions on paper, record them and publish the pieces on the video platform YouTube. In 2016 Kevin Meißner came into contact with the digital audio workstation FL Studio for the first time, which gave him the opportunity to add electronic elements and string instruments to his classical sounds. In the following years, he started to produce live in public parks in Leipzig and Berlin.

On May 28, 2021, Meißner's first solo album Notebook Songs was released on all music streaming services, created in lockdown during COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to singles, Meißner released A Little More Less, a project consisting of ten songs, in August 2023. In the compositions, he expresses his criticism towards modern consumerism in society and the waste of resources.

Meißner frequently collaborates with other artists and leaves his mark across genres. Thus, he cooperated several times in beat production in the field of hip-hop and in the meantime creates new incentives for various artists of minimal techno with classical accents.

His third neoclassical studio album Between Us And Them is scheduled for release in January 2024.
