Keylo Stax

Joe Gulino, known professionally as Keylo Stax, is an American rapper, songwriter and record producer from Rochester, New York. He is known for his prolific musical output and for his collaborations with his brother MG Chronic and fellow Rochester rapper RXK Nephew.

Early Life

Keylo Stax was raised in Rochester, New York. He was born when his mother was eighteen years old.

Career

Keylo Stax is noted for his prolific releases. He has worked with a wide variety of artists, one being an artist of notoriety John Boy, a former member of Stacks On Deck, a record label run by Soulja Boy. They have a song called "Swear to God" which was released on Keylo's album Devils Playground. In 2022 he released a project titled "Big Opp", in the album he featured RXK Nephew on a song called "TikTok" where the duo go back to back.

Music

Keylo Stax is noted for his use of "atypical beats", incorporating influences from techno, house, hip house, and horrorcore. His lyrical content has been said to capture a sense of "omnipresent paranoia [...] undercut by a sadistically absurd sense of humour", juxtaposing imagery of death and violence (often inspired by real events of his life) with absurd punchlines. In addition, his writing is often provocative, at times "flagrantly offensive".
