Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor was born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 1949. He grew up in a traditional Bedouin family and received a limited formal education. Despite this, he developed a strong work ethic and began his entrepreneurial career at a young age.

Al Habtoor is the Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group,[1][2] a conglomerate that operates in a variety of industries, including construction, hospitality, automotive, education, and real estate.
